Most Common Problems & Solutions
- Mower will not start: Check battery charge (80V/40V models); for gas models check fuel and spark plug.
- Battery not charging: Clean battery terminals; ensure charger is properly connected; try a different outlet.
- Blades not spinning: Check blade engagement lever; inspect belt (if applicable); clean debris under deck.
- Low power / Cuts out: Battery may be too cold or low charge; reduce load and allow battery to cool.
- Uneven cutting: Check and sharpen blades; ensure deck is level; maintain proper tire pressure.
- Self-propelled not working: Check drive cable adjustment; inspect drive belt for wear.
80V & 40V Cordless Models
- Overheating protection: Allow mower and battery to cool for 15–30 minutes.
- Error lights flashing: Refer to LED codes in manual (usually low battery or overload).
- Short runtime: Use fresh fully charged batteries; avoid thick wet grass in one pass.
Gas Powered Models
- Engine starts but stalls: Clean air filter and carburetor; use fresh fuel with stabilizer.
- Excessive vibration: Tighten blade bolt; check for damaged blade.
Safety note: Always remove the battery or disconnect spark plug wire before cleaning or performing maintenance. Never operate the mower without the discharge chute, grass catcher, or mulching plug properly installed.
